Goddesses

It is with some reluctance that I present these large-scale drawings, online. Some of them are 10′ and were created with the intention to be experienced without an intermediary screen. But the Pandemic and logistics make this desire nigh impossible to achieve.

Between 1991-2002 I created a series of large-scale (3’–10’) drawings that combined Neolithic Venus shapes with images and textures: mostly using only pencil, eraser and tape (as a form of eraser). The series explored various themes from the personal to global. As the series began at the dawn of our awareness of the dangers of climate change: the environmental messages in many of these drawings seem almost apocryphal today.
